Place was quite busy when we were there. Best to make a reservation. Food and service was okay, although we had to wait quite awhile for our food. It was quite dark at certain parts of the restaurant and we had to use our phone flashlight to see the menu.

Old style but cheerful bar cum restaurant serving good local favourites for a good price. I had the traditional salmon soup which was tasty. I also had the traditional meat balls with mash potatoes. Really good! The Mud Cake with Strawberry ice cream was good! It balanced sweetness with tartness of the ice cream. Overall great experience! Great food , reasonable price.

Visited in Aug 2025 Kannas was one of the few eateries open late on Sunday and hence dropped by for dinner. The look & feel of Kannas is like that of a diner cum bar. Not a fancy place but good food at reasonable prices. I ordered the Reindeer Sirlion and the Crepes. The quality of the food was good. Service was a bit slow and sub-par but I could see that they were a bit understaffed during the time I had gone. All in all a decent eatery to try some Finnish cuisine.

Delicious Finnish typical food made in many different ways: we took the appetisers with herrings (very good), the one with mushrooms (the creamy cheese was amazing with bread!) and the sausages, then as main courses the salmon soup, the reindeer meat with mashed potatoes and blueberries sauce plus vegetables (really really tasty) and the marbled Finnish cow meat (stunning). Also the beers and the service were okay, so recommended!!

A real local spot. Very casual, comfortable environment although the temperature inside was a bit warm (wear layers!). It’s comfort type food, not fancy, but tasty
