Restaurant Green Hippo Kallio

Being from Denver in the United States I feel (mostly) right at home here. The food is great, staff is friendly and the vibe is exactly what one would want. 10/10 recommend the breakfast bowl and avocado toast. This was no simple affair of yogurt, fruit, bread and avocado. This is artistry.

I visited here for brunch and was extremely disappointed. For €16, the quality of the food was far below expectations — bland, and poorly presented. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff: unwelcoming, inattentive and outright rude. Definitely not worth the price, and I will never return.

Food is absolutely stellar, but the feels of the place could be at par. The upsell of extra proteins feels very ”unfinnish”, but make the price point of the food on point.

I must say the green hippo never disappoints. this time I had a chicken black rice bowl with peanut sauce and it was quite nice. The only thing I have to say negative was there could be more peanut sauce. Our server was very nice as it was near closing time. She gave us some smoothie bowls free of charge! Green hippo is consistently good. This physical location isn't my favorite interior atmosphere, though the other locations have better atmosphere per se.

Relaxed, peaceful and nicely decorated place. We took the dinner menu (starter, main and dessert) and we were both very satisfied. The portions were big, so the price-quality ratio is on point. We really liked all the dishes, but the dessert cake was bit of a disappointment. The service is prompt and friendly, we will definitely come again💚
