Came here before hopping on our train to leave Nice and it was the perfect place to kill time. I wasn’t expecting to find much resembling the culture of American specialty coffee in France, so I was super happy that they offered pour overs here. I got that, an espresso, a quiche, and my wife got a latte. My only complaint was that we ordered an iced latte and hot latte (which was still really wonderful). Would be happy to come back!
Stopped at Hug Café in Nice for a cappuccino and a croissant and I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good. The cappuccino was silky smooth with amazing latte art and a rich taste that hits perfectly with every sip. The croissant was fresh flaky and warm just the way it should be simple but full of flavor. The staff here is cool and super friendly they know their coffee and it shows. The atmosphere is relaxed stylish and you can tell people come here for more than just a caffeine fix. They also sell their own coffee beans and I am definitely planning to grab a bag to take home. This place is a gem if you care about quality coffee and a good vibe.
A Gem in Nice — Café Hug What an absolute delight Café Hug is! This charming little spot is a haven for true coffee lovers. Their selection of fresh, locally roasted beans is impressive — a thoughtful balance of single origins and blends, all treated with real care and skill. We treated ourselves to a washed Kenyan, brewed perfectly in an Origami dripper — the pour was precise, the cup clean, bright, and beautifully expressive. It’s clear they know exactly what they’re doing behind the bar — every sip felt like a small celebration. The service? Warm, gracious, and genuinely passionate about good coffee. Add to that their inviting seating — cozy yet airy, ideal for lingering — and you have a café that feels like a gentle hug indeed. It was just what we needed after lunch, but honestly, I’d return to Café Hug at any hour, for any excuse. A tiny treasure that lifts Nice’s café scene to another level. Highly recommended!
A lovely coffee shop with delicious coffee and wonderful staff. My parents love to stop by here as it is not far from the train station and on the way to the old town.
Lovely coffee, beautiful outdoor terrace seating, just tried their yoghurt granola bowl which was lovely. Nice little cafe on centre of Nice.
