Really enjoyed dinner at Maido! Didn’t have reservations but they were able to accommodate us in 35 mins, there is a park a block away so feel free to make it your wait area. Food on point, adémame could have been a bit warmer but everything else amazing. Service top of the line, 3 people running the entire floor. Note: for regulars maybe a free wine bottle a week since you have a fridge so handy at the entrance. Would bring a nice ROI ☺️🤞we will be back

Certainly the most interesting and surprising Japanese dining experience that you can have in Nice. The chicken karaage was the finest I’ve had outside of Japan and the sake selection is absolutely fantastic. The entire experience benefits hugely from the knowledge and effervescence of the staff, who take great pride in their work and food. Maido is, without question, a must-visit eatery in Nice and a place that I’ll return to every chance I get.

One of the only Japanese restaurant in Nice. Food is homemade and lovely. Dishes are served “Tapas” style, so order plenty and be ready to share. Highly recommend the Kaarage chicken and potato Mochi. Dishes are Japanese/French fusion.

I had by far the most amazing and authentic Japanese cuisine ever in Nice!! Variety of sake menu and foods were just so delicious and fine. I was amazed that eveything there was made in the house! The service was very attentive too. Sashimi was super fresh and karaage(fried chicken) and okonomiyaki(savory pancake) were especially so tasty and very authentic. I’ll definitely come back!

Cozy and cute little Japanese izakaya. Very limited menu and on the pricey side. Food portions are tiny but fairly tasty. They carry good sake, Umeshu, shochu and wines.
