La Cantine de Mémé - restaurant à Nice

It’s the best restaurant we had during the stay in Nice. I had the best veal tartar ever. Duck breast is perfect which is the reason we came. Fishes are good for sure cuz it’s their prime. Enjoy our lunch there.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I truly appreciated the unique concept and the warm hospitality we received throughout the evening. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal—it was delicious and well-prepared. While the portion size felt a bit small for the price, the flavor and presentation did help justify the cost. As for my dish—the pea ravioli—I loved the creativity behind using peas in different forms. However, it lacked a contrasting flavor and felt a bit one-dimensional, tasting overwhelmingly of just peas. It would have benefited from a bit more balance or variety in taste. I also found it puzzling that the pea dish was priced the same as a fish entrée, which felt disproportionate. That said, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the mango dessert. It was absolutely outstanding—the textures, flavors, and presentation were all impeccable. The wine pairing recommendation was also spot on. Overall, I left satisfied, though not completely fulfilled. Still, for a one-time experience, it was memorable and enjoyable.

This was by far the best food we had in Nice and actually entire coast. I am only sorry that we discovered the restaurant om our last day, but we would definitely be back. Menu changes every 2 weeks - we had french pate, seabass carpaccio, meckerel and chicken. Desert is a must try. I usually don’t take desserts, but here it definitely one of the best i’ve had. Food was all AMAZING. Menu changes frequently and they keep option small but all of them were insane. The meals I had all blew me away and I would recommend every single one of them. The service was also outstanding. They were extremely friendly, went above and beyond to make me comfortable and have the best experience possible. Constantly gave me water and bread and anything else they felt I needed without asking. Would love to come back here, I bet anything you order here is great.

Amazing dishes ! The asparagus with strawberries were a first for me but they were delicious and felt light and fresh in mouth. The mackerel was incredible. I never had such a well prepared fish. The kitchen work is incredible when considering the prices. Definitely the best place to enjoy deliciousness at reasonable price in Nice. The service was a bit chaotic, no one greeted me when I arrived in the restaurant and few served told me to move away from their way while waiting for someone to welcome me. Waiters were friendly but felt stressed with internal affairs, sadly it spills over to customers ears. This restaurant shines by its kitchen remarkable quality and highly recommended to gourmet.
