Le Gaglio - Brasserie Nice

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here during our first morning in Nice. The food we had was the Americano breakfast, which was full of flavour and impressive. We were spoiled with orange juice and choice of hot beverage. Location of the restaurant is perfect for people watching and a slow morning.

Le Gaglio is located in the heart of Nice, offering an ideal spot to soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere, but the overall experience can be hit-or-miss. The service is generally polite and attentive, though it can feel rushed during peak hours, leading to longer waits. While the dishes look appealing at first glance, the flavors often fail to impress: the rigatoni with tomato sauce and cheese tastes bland and is not homemade, and the braised beef pasta, though hearty, could use more seasoning. Prices are notably high for what is ultimately a lackluster culinary experience, leaving many diners feeling that the cost is not justified by the quality of the food. Still, the outdoor seating area is pleasant, and the casual vibe makes it a decent place to relax with a drink, as long as you adjust your expectations regarding the cuisine.

While walking around, we decided to sit in this restaurant. The athmosphere was nice, the food was really good ( we ordered mussels and frog legs). Just keep in mind that they have a lot of work and we had to wait a bit longer until someone came to take our order and for the food to get ready.

The best moules frites I've gotten so far on my interrail tour. Much better then the day before in Cannes. The waiters was nice, tho I got a bit confused when someone who where just coming in and just looked like someone who were going to eat there took my bottle cuz it was empty. But I think that person also is a waiter

The food is ok not what you would expect . The service sucks . There are plenty of other places to go. There were only 5 frog legs on the pasta plate and sauce was not good. We order a Bloody Mary was sour and mixed poorly. If you can avoid please do so.
