La Calanque Blanche Restaurant

Do yourself a favorite and arrive 30-45 minutes before your reservation and walk down to the actual Calanque Blache for a beautiful scenic moment before your meal. The tarama was incredible, the octopus w polenta was delicious, but the star of the show was the coconut cake. To be honest, we are not typically a dessert family, but the food was delicious so we felt obligated and man were we delighted. Blankets are also offered as a nice touch as it can get windy in the evening. The service is very friendly and fairly quick. We've already recommended friends to visit and it is on the list for our next trip to Marseille.

Nice little restaurant along the coast in Le gourde which is about a 20-30 min drive from downtown Marseille depending on traffic. Free parking is available across the street from the restaurant and there is mainly outdoor seating. The only negative is that this place is literally next to the main road so can get a bit loud and the exhaust of vehicles can overwhelm the senses. Food is ok with both surf and turf options.

We came without a reservation and were still promptly greeted and seated. Our server was very kind, attentive, and well spoken. She recommended the panisse, which was amazing! Followed by the appetizer, our entrees were exceptional as well. On top of all the great things, watching the sunset made it even better! I will definitely be returning when I visit France again.

We passed by here and decided to stay for dinner with the beautiful sunset views. The food honestly wasn't great, nothing special and quite expensive for what it was. What really made the experience though was the views and the incredible service, Shaima was extraordinarily attentive and hospitable and always made sure we were feeling comfortable, so a big thank you to her.
