Chez Pimousse

We had the best evening of our holiday at Chez Pimousse. The interior is really beautiful and well chosen. Also the service was great! They recommended very good wines to go with the dishes. But of course we liked the food the most. Each dish was beautifully presented and the taste was outstanding.

Decently innovative food but leaves you wondering if it's really worth the price. The salad was fab but it took them 15-20 minutes to get the mains and that too a fish which cooks in a few! I lost appetite midway as I was forced to eat bread while waiting endlessly for the course. The restaurant was half empty so they seem really understaffed. The monkfish dish was great although the fish leaked liquid (see photo) that seeped into the lobster bisuey thing they served it with. The dessert was really not great. They could've done a lot of but they went with a almost frozen pannacota. Like you could feel the ice on your tongue. Pretty mediocre. Then the last course was a nice cookie they brought but again 10-15 minutes after I finish the dessert and asked for the check because I thought it was over.

Excellent restaurant! The view was beautiful but the star was the excellent food. We had the fixed menu which had a lovely haricot salad and a herbed egg with the chicken entre. The desert was spectacular! We did choose the wine pairing which I’d recommend! The restaurant personal was so knowledgeable. They knew so much about wine and food, clearly loving what they did and where they worked. They had a cocktail too, that the server concocted that was superb. If you come to Lyon, don’t miss this opportunity to dine here.

Small restaurant with a unique - really cool -concept. The personnel is kind, professional and very friendly. The food is delicious with a unique combination of tradition and innovation: a very tasty journey! One of the best address in Lyon.

We had the 4 course surprise dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Delicate and beautiful presentation and delicious flavors, with warm, friendly service in a simple setting. Excellent value for an exceptional meal. I look forward to the chance to return.
