Excellent interpretation of traditional Lyonnaise food! Relatively more young people here when we visited which was nice, and the service was working tirelessly and quickly. From the pate to the quenelle to the praline brioche, the food was some of the best we had in Lyon
The food was incredible and so was the service. This was one of the most tourist-friendly restaurants we visited in France. We really appreciated the helpful service with a smile and cooking like we've never had before.
Great place, good food. Accepts solo diner. This place don't claim to be full, even when it is not, unlike other places.
I recently enjoyed a meal at Bouchon Bât-d'Argent with my husband on our first night in Lyon. We only had a few nights, so wanted to make sure we got to taste some classic Lyon dishes. The menu is small, but there is enough choice, and even with 4 dishes for each course, it was still hard to choose as they sounded delicious. Every item I ate during my meal was amazing. The starter Pate was great, but the highlight was both the 10 Hour Slow Cooked Pork, which just melted in the mouth, and the Goats Cheese Cheesecake, which was both unique and flavoursome. The restaurant was very busy, but I’ve never seen such a small team handle so many customers with ease. Overall, we had a lovely meal at Bouchon Bât-d'Argent and I would certainly recommend a visit if you’re visiting Lyon!
Creative and delicious. The egg, bacon, mushrooms, and croutons in red wine sauce was worthy of trying to reproduce. Almost too gently cooked with a wonderful sweet and sour medley. The merlu (cod?) was buttery but light sitting on a perfect butternut squash puree garnished with cranberry and walnuts. The mango desert with fresh passion fruit and lemon meringue was worth going out of your way to get. The beef braised in red wine and then caramelized was excellent
