Service is nice and the location is good (not very touristic). However, we didn't enjoy the food. Lentils were hard and dry, with no vegetables at all (despite what's described on the menu). Part of the side fries of beef tartare were overcooked. We didn't even have an interest in trying a dessert.
Amazing bistro and close to the river. Very friendly staff to support with amazing food! Try the octopus! It’s amazing!
Recommended by our hotel. The servers were too busy talking to each other to pay attention to customers, but were nice when they finally deigned to pay attention visit. The salmorejo (cold soup typically smoother and more velvety than gazpacho) was fantastic and the fish was excellent but we didn’t like the sausage and wasn’t hot on the recommended wine. Luckily the server took the wine off the bill because we didn’t touch the sausage.
Showed up without a reservation right as they opened for dinner. We were lucky enough to be seated immediately as the restaurant was at capacity an hour later. Everything was delicious! My husband and I split the salmonejo, I got the our aioli for my entree and my husband got the sausage.
Bondy Bistro in Lyon is a modern establishment with a great vibe, offering a fresh take on the traditional bistro experience. The food is nothing short of amazing. I had the haddock with spinach hummus, and for the main course, the vitello tonnato both were exceptionally delicious. The experience was further enhanced by the excellent service. The lady who served us recommended a superb local white wine that perfectly complemented the meal. Bondy Bistro is a place I will definitely return to. The combination of modern ambiance, outstanding food, and attentive service makes it a standout in Lyon.
