C’est Comme À La Maison - CCALM

This has become my favourite 100 sq.ft. in all of Paris. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is warm and honey. The service is like visiting a favourite aunt and uncle… who know how to cook. After chatting with the owner for a while before he opened one evening, I had a good feeling that this was a chef who cares about what he does, and he enjoys it. After dinner I was sold and I returned every night for the rest of my time here. At the risk of making it harder for me to get a table, this is a gem, even in Le Marais.

This is a special place to dine at. During an entire month of traveling in Europe, by far my favorite restaurant. I was lucky to have dined here twice. The chef / owner of the restaurant is a joy to watch - highly creative and his philosophy to food is all about what is fresh and best for that moment. The menu changes each day, based on what is best for the day. Go with the flow, go with the vibe, let yourself trust the chef and you will realise life does not have to be complicated to be happy. Thanking you again Mathieu for two lovely meals in Paris. I hope to be back one day.

This place was fantastic! The food was out of this world delicious! The service was top notch! The best meal we had in Paris. Make a reservation. We watched several people be turned away because they were full!

Mathieu was extremely friendly and talked us through the entire menu. The food was excellent, especially the clams! The environment and service was brilliant. Would definitely recommend this small but exceptional gem to everyone in Paris. :)

It was a very pleasant experience. Home style dishes. Very simple but flavorful and delicious. Smoked herring was my favorite. It was so fresh and full of taste. Snails were good. I am not an expert of it. The sausage was very light and delicious. Loved it. Lastly, cream brulee reminded me how much sugar we consume in the US. Almost felt like it wasn't sweet enough, but definitely delicious. Owner and the waiter were so kind and friendly. They tried to accommodate everything I asked. Customers were also feeling the home vibe. Will come back.
