Husband and I had a wonderful experience for our anniversary. From the rooftop cocktail hour to the 5 course seasonal tasting, this was one of the best dining experience I've ever had. A must visit for fine diners who appreciate attention to detail and stellar service in a beautiful space overlooking the Seine.
An unforgettable experience at La Tour d’Argent. The service was absolutely impeccable—professional, warm, and incredibly courteous from start to finish. The dining room is stunning, with an atmosphere that perfectly balances elegance and comfort. The food was consistently delicious and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed starting with a glass of champagne from their vast and impressive wine selection—next time, I look forward to exploring more of it. If I had one minor note, it would be that the lobster bisque (and one other dish) was unusually salty that evening. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall excellence of the meal. Looking forward to returning on my next trip to Paris.
We had dinner at a Michelin starr bateaux sur Seine the night before. The food was disappointed. I can’t even remember what I ate for the entire 5 courses menu. So I tried to avoid putting too much hope on La Tour d'Argent. It turned out it was the best experience we had at any restaurant for a long time. From the moment we entered the Tour d'Argent till we left the restaurant! Classy interior with the glass windows where we can see the beautiful view of Seine and Notre-Dame. Also, with the reflection light, we can see the chefs working in the open kitchen behind us, too. The food, the service, and the ambience were just undescribable. This is a prefect 10/10 dining experience one must try. They should deserve 3 star. We had 2 starters, plus the pressed duck to share. Three big pieces of breasts for each; served with the blood sauce. I can only say it was out of the world. Thick and gamey. It is the sauce which makes this dish so famous. Then, the boneless duck leg to follow afterwards. To the end of our meal. We would really love to try their popular souffle. Sadly, we have to give up the dessert because we were so full. Our waiter insisted we must have a dessert to end up our meal. He brought us a pre-dessert (Ginger and Pineapple Sobert) free of charge to try. The flavour from the ginger and pinapple were so fresh and tasty that I still remember today .... Just a suggestion. Out of these extraordinary experiences, the whole meal was perfect, but except the Beaneaise Sauce! The sauce just doesn't go with the duck. And why put such a big amount of Beaneaise on the plate? It really doesn't look right! As I mentioned, I tried the sauce, but it didn't fit with the roast duck leg. I'm happy with just the way the taste of the duck without the sauce..............so I was not disappointed. How about just the juice from the roast duck? Or Hoisin sauce with orange juice is ideal to go with duck meat, too.( I did try out myself after I returned home, and it turned out great).
I didn't have high hopes for a vegan meal and/or experience based on the menu options, but resolved myself to have this experience with close friends, even if I wasn't excited about the menu. That said, with a simple request for a vegan option, I am forever grateful for the curated meal and experience at La Tour d'Argent! NOTE: Our party reached out ahead of time to request a vegan option for me (I highly recommend doing that if you have this dietary request). As a party of five, we requested one vegan meal in our party and it was one of the best vegan meals I've ever had... and likely *the best* meal and dining experience of my life. This experience NOT only didn't disappoint, but as a vegan, I felt like the entire meal was explicitly prepared for me. Every single course was curated for my vegan lifestyle and pallet. I never felt like any of the courses were an afterthought. There was so much thought, care, and preparation involved to ensure my vegan experience not only met but exceeded my expectations. It was FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for proving me wrong and, as a vegan, providing me with an exceptional meal and experience!
My husband and I had lunch at La Tour d’Argent today. From the moment we walked, in we felt pampered. The entire staff, from the doorman, the young lady in the elevator, the manager, and the wait staff, were simply amazing. They were the most professional team we have ever experienced in any restaurant, including other Michelin rated restaurants. They provided impeccable service without being stuffy, and the food was perfect. It was an experience we will never forget.
