This is my first time in Paris! I don’t usually leave review!! But this place has Such a great owner and family business and super friendly and worth to go there even a bit off away from the major Street!!!! Owner put the wine and my beer away from my bill. And that’s not easy to just do that with a person just walk in to his business! It’s family business and even his daughter work with him together! (With lots of smile) both of my daughters spoke French and speak with the daughter and she patiently speak with them , even we do not have perfect french, they make kids very happy to stay! Music is nice and still used old school ‘CD’ it’s not easy like this! it was an amazing experience to me and my family! God bless
This restaurant was recommended by our landlord and happened to be just around the corner. Even though it was already 9 PM, we decided to walk in—and were surprised to find the place still bustling with energy. The owner gave me a big hug as soon as he heard I was from New York! We weren’t too hungry, so we only ordered two appetizers, but both turned out to be absolutely delicious: the goose pâté with bread was rich and aromatic, and the shrimp dish was full of flavor. By the time we left, it was already past midnight, and the owner was still happily chatting with guests while handling the bills. No rush, no closing time—just a warm and welcoming little gem.
Fantastic’ doesn’t even begin to describe it! From the moment we walked through the door to the full dining experience—with exceptional food quality—and ending with the warmest, friendliest goodbye, this was truly one of the best places I’ve ever been to (not just in Paris!). Thank you!
Chez Trassoudaine is the kind of local bistro that reminds you why simple food, when done right, needs nothing more. I ordered the pan-seared seabass — it arrived without sauce, and I was skeptical at first. But one bite into that golden crispy skin and the rich, buttery flavor of the fish, I realized: this is a chef who trusts his ingredients. No distractions, just perfect seasoning and mastery of the pan. It reminded me of the way fish is done back home in Taiwan — honest, humble, deeply satisfying. No photo, sorry — it was too good not to eat immediately. Highly recommend if you’re looking for food with soul.
This is hands down the best food we ate in Paris so far. The owner greets you warmly the moment when you enter through the door and chats with you when ordering, tells you everything about the menu so you chose something just right for yourself. All the staff were very kind and helpful. They are so welcoming to foreigners as well, which was a huge plus for us personally. My fillet was perfectly cooked, soft and juicy, with an amazing sauce. The baked potatoes were exceptional. They also have very nice homemade desserts. Cozy environment, perfect service and amazing food - what more can you ask for. I will recommend here to everyone who come to Paris. Make sure you make a reservation!
