This was a great neighborhood restaurant. It was a little rainy that day, and it seemed like we were getting served by the owner and one of the waiters. They were extremely friendly. The burgers were absolutely amazing. The steak was not so great as it was a little chewy and under-seasoned, but overall the food here was great and you can’t go wrong if you’re in the area.
Excellent food and service. 100% will return. Theoretically burgers are amazing, cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. I tried to speak in my broken bad French and the server was so accommodating with me. Spoke perfect English. Such a great little spot.
We ate here the first evening we arrived in Paris. The team is very enthusiastic and welcoming and we got seated very quickly. The burgers tasted fresh and handmade, we got the blue cheese and vegetarian burger. Definitely a perfect spot to visit if you love a good heavy burger.
Wow. This was really, really, really delicious. Whoever thought it would be good to create a hamburger restaurant in the context of a French bistro, you deserve praise and a raise. The burgers are stacked and flavorfully mixed. At first, I found it quite surprising that L'Œuf à Cheval came without a bun, but darn it, who cares about some bread when it tastes so damn good : eggs, burger steak, cheddar, and bacon couldn't fit together any better. Yet, it pales in comparison to Le Napoléon Ier, that one is as grand as the emperor himself. No, really, don't take this joke lightly. The waiters were very welcoming and cheerful. Hats off to the Armenian for guessing right away we were Lebanese, you have a keen eye, sir. I loved the entrance to the restaurant. I see what y'all did there, putting a crimson curtain as if the clients are about to witness the most dramatic spectacle of burger madness.
Being from the Midwest I wondered how much better could the hamburgers be? Then I saw they had a whole menu of steak tartare which I haven’t had for years. What a treat. That combined with the very friendly owner and the neighborhood feel to the restaurant made for a delightful experience. It’s off the beaten path but well worth the visit.
