Café am Neuen See

Great location on the lake. The service was friendly and officiant. The cheese cake was delicious and I really loved it. I don’t think it’s good to adopt the American tip system when they give you an option of the tipping percentage. Highly recommend!

I visited this cafe that is tucked away from tourists on several occasions during my stay for the Berlin Marathon. The outdoor beer garden is huge and very tranquil overlooking the water. The interior decor is very tasteful with a cozy atmosphere. Staff are pleasant even when busy during peak periods. The menu does not have English translation and not all servers speak English. When I ordered a cappuccino I received a warm black coffee. Another time I ordered a hot matcha latte - it was less than Luke warm. The pizza I had for lunch one day was delicious and my espresso martini also good. So pleased I found this cafe during an exploration walk from my hotel to the Tietgarten but don’t go just for coffee! Thursday before the marathon I started my gentle carbo load with the blueberry pancakes. They were good but next time I’d ask for extra maple syrup on the side. 🥞😊

Really enjoyed it here in the far end of the Tiergarten, really relaxed place with lots of outdoor seating by the lake. A few huge cold beers and a pizza to share. Pizza was thin crust, light and full of flavour. Really enjoyed it.

Absolutely worth a visit while in Berlin! A serene environment, in the middle of the park. The lake was beautiful and the atmosphere was very calming and relaxing. The food options were basic but very tasty and clean. It's great for all the family!

This beer garden is simply perfect for ending a relaxing day! The atmosphere is wonderful, with the lights in the trees and all the people enjoying the weather. The seating under the large trees is great, and you have a wonderful view of the lake. A must-visit for anyone in the area!
