This is exactly the kind of spot I have been looking for! View is amazing, and food quality is just as good. Very delicious and fresh fish. Beautiful presentation and service.
Nice location with great views. Excellent sevice and nice drinks and food. Prices a bit high (you pay for ambiente and view). Overall a recommendation.
I had the most lovely lunch on the water to end my trip to Hamburg. Neetu was sweet and very efficient. Beautiful view, relaxing, amazing menu and nexttime I will try their sister restaurant Boothaus. My lunch came to 100 Euro by myself with a large bottle of Aqua Panna and 1 espresso martini, but I went all out and had takeaway.
Expensive restaurant that is capable of charging high prices for the view of the Alster lake. The service is both attentive and sloppy. The staff attitude felt a bit too onerous. The waiter “suggested” a generous tip.
Dining at Seehaus Restaurant for New Year’s Eve was a unique experience, though not without its flaws. With its reputation and stunning location, I had high expectations. While the food and ambiance were exceptional, the overall experience fell short of the standards one would expect at this level. The food was the highlight of the evening—each of the four courses was delicious. Paired with the spectacular view of the New Year’s fireworks, it created a memorable setting. However, the service and organization were disappointing. The restaurant seemed overbooked, with guests seated at shared tables to maximize capacity, which detracted from the exclusive feel. To make matters worse, we were seated on a broken chair, which we brought to the staff’s attention three times, yet it was never replaced—a surprising oversight. Some of the waitstaff were kind and clearly doing their best under pressure, but the service overall felt chaotic and rushed. There were long delays—nearly an hour between courses—and drinks often had to be reordered before they arrived. Unfortunately, the manager on duty was not service-minded and added to the disorganization rather than resolving it. The evening ended on a disappointing note when, just after receiving dessert, we were rushed to settle the bill. Being hurried while still enjoying the final course was inappropriate, especially at this price point. Shared restroom facilities were another issue. While unisex restrooms are not inherently problematic, their misuse by other patrons on the night created an uncomfortable experience. In conclusion, Seehaus offers excellent food and a stunning view but lacks the service and management to justify its reputation and pricing. For nearly €1000, I expected a seamless experience with attention to detail at every level. This was my first visit, and I am left wondering if the experience might be more refined on a regular evening. Would I return? Perhaps, but only if the service to match the quality of the cuisine. Edit: The owner tried to remove my post two times..
