Lay Thai Restaurant & Lounge

This is a great Thai restaurants in a nice neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. All the dishes were particularly flavorful and came with decently sized portions. The Thai Iced Tea was a standout winner in my eyes, it retained the strong tea taste without being too sweet. The dishes are big enough to be shared amongst three people. The bill was somewhat expensive.

Great dining locations in Dusseldorf! Relaxing and pleasant atmosphere, caring staff, delicious food. Usually I order a red curry with crispy duck, it is served with a cute bowl of rice. The portions of main dishes are quite big, it makes sense also considering sharing. This time we tried also two appetisers: a soup and a chicken satay. Unfortunately, there was no space left to try a coconut rice with mango, but next I am excited to try. Booking of the table in advance is recommended.

We were really missing Thailand after our honeymoon and decided to try this place based on the reviews. The food was delicious and authentic! The service is also very friendly and attentive. The Massaman curry was spicier than expected but tasted really good. The mango sticky rice was disappointing but probably because it's not mango season 😉 would have liked more sauce though!

Surprisingly good Thai food. This is how I picture Thai food with the flavour close to home. I'm honestly tired with other restaurants that decorated in Traditional Thai style to lure customer into *fake* authenticity. However, this restaurant is doing opposite. Great food in homey style. The deco is neutral / modern. The staffs were super friendly. I really enjoyed it so much.
