The restaurant owners invited us for dinner due to mutual friends and we had a great time here. Their hospitality and warmth was impressive. The staff was very friendly and explained each item that they served us. Each meal felt like a bite-sized piece of love wrapped with love and respect for the customers. Definitely recommend this restaurant for those looking for a memorable restaurant experience while touring Köln.
Delicious, beautiful food and warm service. From the first bite of crisped cornbread smeared generously with ricotta, to the final taste of truffled brie paired with a bright onion relish, every course had us wanting more. Thank you to the hard working staff for making a special day out for us extra memorable :)
The bartender is a magician! The food is excellent, creative, and unexpected! The service is exceptional. We didn't have reservations and just thought we'd try and see if there is availability. The staff was amazing! Have us a seat at the bar, and we got to experience the bartender's skills. The best place in Germany, so far 😁 Thank you, Puls!
It is a small restaurant, but the service, food, and drinks were amazing. I started the winter special cocktail, which had a unique but nice flavor. Next up was the beef tartar with caviar (+€10) which was really well done. The presentation was nice and was very good quality. Then I had the US beef, which was also very good. It was cooked to temperature and seasoned very well. The sauce was a little overpowering, but the dish was still very good. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a quality meal if you are in Cologne.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an evening of culinary discovery. The cuisine was absolutely stellar. Each course, served sharing style, was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. We loved the communal aspect of the meal, which made the dining experience feel both intimate and interactive. Every dish was perfectly balanced, showcasing creative combinations and impeccable execution. The wine pairing was equally impressive. The selections elevated each course, highlighting flavors we might not have noticed otherwise. It was clear a lot of thought and expertise went into curating the pairings. The cocktails, however, were the true stars of the evening. The flavor profiles were nothing short of genius—where else can you find a cocktail that seamlessly blends carrot and white chocolate? The bartender’s creativity and skill shone through in every drink. One standout was the espresso martini, which was hands down the best we’ve ever had. The hazelnut-forward profile, complemented by a caramel simple syrup, was a luxurious and innovative twist on a classic. The bartender deserves a special mention—not only for crafting incredible drinks but also for sharing their passion and knowledge with us. They even showed us some fascinating cocktail books, adding an educational element to the experience that we truly appreciated. Overall, PVLS is a must-visit for anyone who loves extraordinary food, expertly crafted cocktails, and exceptional service. This is not just a meal; it’s an adventure in taste and creativity. We cannot recommend it enough and can’t wait to return.
