Breakfast cuisine, very nice area the café is in the heart of the city. The food was below average. The pancakes were soft but quite dry. The avocado toast was sour but has potential. The eggs Benedict lacked flavour and had an abundance of eggs shells in the sauce And the shakshuka dish also has potential but lacked flavor. The drinks were what you expected them to be. Lastly, One particular staff member stood out more than the others. It was a female. She seemed to be the host, but wasn’t very kind. Her demeanor was poor, she acted like she was the boss/ supervisor. We give this experience two out of five.
Couple of friends of mine went to Cafe Hegel for brunch! We had an amazing time! The atmosphere was great! I loved the decorations and the chairs were comfortable. Our waiter spoke English and he was so helpful! They had such a great selection of delicious food and it was very hard to pick from! Highly recommend visited the Cafe Hagel!
Nice cafe in a nice location. We liked everything we ordered, service was good. It looked nicer in reality than what we expected. Also the menu was more creative that what we thought before going there. Recommended!
Lovely staff, good coffee, nice looking breakfast. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to taste it. I ordered granola yogurt with fruits and berries and almost immediately found a molded blueberry there. I asked the staff to remake it, showing the reason for it. 10 minutes later I received a new one, even bigger and more beautiful. But this time I found a molded grape there :( UPDATE: A few days later I received a message from Google that the owner of the establishment tried to delete my review by marking it as "slander". This is outrageous! Instead of solving the problem, they are simply trying to delete "unwanted" reviews! Fortunately, at least Google was on the side of arguments and evidence...
We had brunch at Café Hegel on a Saturday with a group of friends, drawn by its reputation for great pastries. The food was overall okay - I had the Truffle Omelette with Parmigiano, which was tasty but not particularly memorable. Some of my friends had Perfect Egg Bagels, Classic Breakfast or Eggs Benedict that looked quite good. Unfortunately, despite having made a reservation for a larger group, there was no adequately prepared table waiting for us when we arrived. We got seats for 6 and had to rearrange and extend the seating further ourselves, which was a bit inconvenient. The café was also very busy and seemed clearly understaffed, with only two waiters trying to manage a full house. Most of our group waited over 30 minutes just to get their drinks. So if you're planning to visit on a weekend, bring some patience - or try coming on a quieter day. That said, kudos to the two waiters who did their absolute best to keep things running despite the overwhelming crowd!
