Dining at this restaurant in Stuttgart was nothing short of an extraordinary experience. From the very first impression, it’s clear that this is a top establishment where culinary creativity meets impeccable hospitality. Each dish felt like a carefully crafted piece of art — both visually stunning and full of exquisite flavors. The team clearly took pride in ensuring guests felt welcomed and cared for. This restaurant stands out as one of the very best in Stuttgart. We'll be back 😉
I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. The food was pretty decent and most of our tasting dishes were very good. the price is worth it. The staff tries to deliver, but you get that they just learned a text by heart and once they forget one word or you make a question, they’re off base. However, when we ordered the bill, the first thing the waitress directly asked was if we had a gift certificate! I guess she just assumed since we’re younger than the average we didn’t have enough money to afford a dinner here. And I know this for sure because she didn’t ask the question to other older guests. Quite an aftertaste after a very expensive dinner.
Food was pretty decent/ good. The service team tries to deliver. Wine should have been decanted before allowing it to be served. That was a total letdown. Because of this, I will not be returning since I've experienced better elsewhere Atmosphere was nice. Very few tables.
I stayed here for 2 nights as a solo traveller and I'm happy with my experience. For a 4 star hotel, one could expect a complimentary breakfast. This was not the case here. You must pay to eat at their cafe (excluding Monday) across the street, or you can pay 28€ for a breakfast of your choice to be delivered to your door. I was disappointed by that. The Zauberlehrling restaurant is a separate matter. This is my first experience in this type of dining environment. I chose the 7 course meal with Wagyu A5 instead of lamb. The kitchen staff do an excellent job of constructing a menu that is interesting and well balanced. The food was fantastic. I have never been so impressed by fish, which I normally do not enjoy eating. Wagyu A5 has a reputation that we all knows and the reputation is well earned. That was the single most delicious piece of steak I have ever had. I come from beef country and I love steak. I will leave more descriptive duties to food critics who know what they are taking about, as I don't want to give anyone the wrong idea. Let it be said that if you are new to this sort of thing like me, the price is shocking but the food and service are excellent. I think it's a great experience for everyone who can afford it to try once. It's eye opening to find out what kind of flavours the pros can put together. I'm glad I went. I don't know when I'll come back again, because I rarely find myself in Stuttgart, but if anyone asks about eating food at this level I won't hesitate to recommend der Zauberlehrling.
Incredible! This was a true foodie experience. We knew it was a highly reviewed restaurant but we were not aware it was a Michelin star winner in 2023 until we were getting ready to arrive. Warning. The meal lasted about 4 and 1/2 hours if you do the eight course meal. We absolutely enjoyed every single second. The wait staff was fantastic as we needed English translation. The chef is incredible and so talented. We've been fortunate to eat at Alinea in Chicago and the French Laundry in Napa as examples of top notch restaurants, and had some incredible meals over the years but this one was the first meal that was not only stunningly beautiful but tasted absolutely delicious - every dish. Which is shocking, and all four of us could not get over. Everything just clicked! It was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you to Der Zauberlehrling, well done!
