One of Munich’s staples: amazing hand-pulled noodles, perfectly seasoned soups and noodle dishes, and delicious appetizers. You can’t make reservations and there’s always a queue outside—but it’s totally justified, and it moves quickly. Just before going in, you can fill out your order on a sheet based on the menu posted outside, so service is always fast. If you’re really hungry, you can even get free noodle refills in your soup. The appetizers are also very tasty. Highly recommended—with huge portions, authentic flavor, and you definitely won’t leave hungry.
The restaurant is quite small, so expect a wait before getting a table. The hand-pulled noodles are flavorful, but visiting in the summer can feel like dining in a sauna due to the heat. Prices are affordable, though the meat in the noodle soup is thinner and less generous compared to other noodle spots we’ve tried. They accept cash only!
I walked pass this restaurant often and there is always a line, but I went on a Tuesday at lunch and found the place relatively vacant. The waiter is super friendly and recommended me some dishes which are super tasty. The portions are very large, and the side dishes are delicious as well. I think the Max beef noodle is a bit bland, but the freshly made noodles from the chef is super delicious. Oh and they offered free water and I can add more noodles for free. Would come again in the future👍🏻
Visited Max’s beef noodles. We had to wait in line for 20 minutes under the blazing sun to enter the restaurant. The sun was so strong that we were sweating. The restaurant was full and lively. We had ordered with an order form before entering the restaurant, so our food was served as soon as we sat down. This spot is a must-visit for noodle lovers! Enjoyed watching chefs artfully stretch springy, chewy noodles. The hand pulled noodles were delicious and the beef literally fell apart in my mouth. The clear, fragrant broth was amazing. No-frills, bustling vibe, and wallet-friendly prices. Perfect for a quick, soul-warming meal. I love it.
We were looking for some take-away food on our way to the train station and decided on this restaurant since we hadn't managed to dine here during our stay as it was on our list already. There was already a line of people outside waiting in the drizzle for a table – that alone says a lot! Through the window, we could watch the noodles being handmade – a great sign. Our order was taken quickly and efficiently. While waiting outside, everyone in line was offered jasmine tea and prawn crackers – such a thoughtful gesture, perfectly matched by the warm smile of the waiters! In less than 10 minutes, our food was perfectly packed and ready to travel. I even tried to leave a tip, which was kindly but firmly refused twice – and they wished us a safe journey instead. The food itself was absolutely fantastic. On the train, we simply had to assemble everything ourselves. The broth was outstanding – clearly homemade and full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you so much!
