Chopan - near Gasteig

I recently visited this wonderful Afghani restaurant with colleagues, and it was an absolute delight. We had to try the special Afganische Reise, and it did not disappoint; every type of meat on the platter was cooked to absolute perfection. Every single dish we tried was incredibly flavourful and aromatic, truly standing out as some of the best cuisine I have experienced in a long while. The kind and attentive staff made the experience even more enjoyable. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable meal. A five-star experience really.

Absolutely delicious. My group had two lamb and two chicken dishes. We devoured all of it. We were also advised to try the yogurt dessert and it was amazing. Make yourself a reservation, you won't be disappointed.

Came here two times with colleagues during my business stay. Food was excellent and large selection for vegetarians. Chopan water was nice. Not a large place so inside could be crowded though. Also, you have to make a reservation. This place is always busy.

First time eating Afghan food and I have to say I LOVE IT!! 💖💖💖 Just amazing. The flavors of the dishes are so well done. Pine of the best meals on my 3 week trip. A must try place when in Munich!

Me and my boyfriend went to this restaurant on Valentines day! We made the reservation one week before it and they got us a table for 2 at 21h, which turned out pretty good since we had a full day planned. The environment of the restaurant i would say it’s very traditional and cozy, at the same time it is elegant and sophisticated. The food was a big amazing surprise. We went already with big expectations and the food didn’t disappoint at all. The price/quality is perfect, considering that you get a big portion for a max of 25€ for the main course. And the quality of the food was just phenomenal. A mix of spicy and tasty food combined into a very balanced dish. It was simply delicious. 10/10 would recommend. We spent in total 95€ with tips included. We had two drinks each, both different types of Spritz, we ask for a starter to share and then one main dish for each. So i would say, for Munich, it is not an expensive restaurant for the amazing gastronomy experience you get! ⭐️
