Blue Restaurant Chania

Such an amazing place! The food was amazing and the view was to die for! The sea bass was so tasty. I loved the beef carpaccio and the scallop appetizer was so good! The fish soup has such deep flavor and the baklava ice cream was well worth ordering despite the fact that we were so full. We ate every bite! The owner even gave us complimentary raki and amaretto. A must visit!

I went at lunchtime, as soon as it opened. The service was relaxed but all my needs were met should I need anything. I was seated on a big table next to the window so I had a seaview. This was such a treat as a lot of establishments would seat you at a smaller table, which would be further away from the view. The owner was very accommodating - the window was open and he said he would close it if it gets too windy/ if I want. Had a glass of wine, seabass and coffee. He's not pushy for you to order more- asked if I need an entree, he didn't push for it and said we can see how I go and order more if I need. View was stunning and great coffee.

Ate here twice already and a third time is very likely (spending 9 days in chania). Atmosphere is great with the ocean view and you can watch the sunset from the restaurant. Staff is polite and welcoming. Food is absolutely amazing. Octopus is prepared as well as it can be. So soft and tasty. Great starters and salads.

We chose this restaurant for the beautiful sea view, perfect for a sunset dinner. The food wasn’t bad, but it didn’t really impress us. The octopus was quite tough, probably grilled longer than it should have been, which is disappointing for such an expensive dish. The shrimp were well-seasoned, very tasty. Prices were high, as expected in a touristy area.

Great resto! Food was incredibly fresh, quick service and it doesn't hurt that you can watch the sunsets right from your table against the windows. Don't bother with eating in old town, this place is a gem hidden in plain sight!
