Kiriakos, the owner, is an absolute legend — warm, generous, and truly passionate about sharing the heart of Greek hospitality. The food is unbelievably fresh and authentic — so much so that they only cook once a day! That’s right: once the day’s dishes are gone, the restaurant closes. It’s a beautiful testament to quality over quantity, and it means every bite is made with care and tradition. So if you want to experience it, make sure to get there before 5:00 p.m. — trust me, it’s worth planning your day around. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of life. It feels like you’re dining in someone’s home, surrounded by laughter, great conversation, and unforgettable flavors. And the prices? Incredibly reasonable for the quality you get. Kanatelias is a must-visit — a place where food, culture, and community come together in the most delicious way!

The dishes are incredibly tasty, made with high-quality ingredients that you can really taste in every bite. The place is spotless, and the staff are always kind and welcoming. Highly recommended for a delicious and pleasant lunch experience.

Unpretentious, delicious food. They set everything out in trays behind the display counter, you pick what you want and they bring it over to your table. Everything we ordered was very good. My favourite was the spinach lasagna. If you see it on the menu, I highly recommend ordering it. Dessert on the house, which was kind of like a chocolate pudding cake. The restrooms are upstairs. They were a bit troublesome to use because the motion-sensor lights turned off too quickly.

Nice and clean environment. Prices are a bit high for locals, meaning a portion of food will cost 8-10 euros. The waiters are always busy, so probably you will wait half an hour to pay the bill and another half an hour to find a table to sit. Nevertheless you will not be disappointed for the quality of food. You will also get a free dessert at the end of your meal.

Very nice lunch restaurant near the city center, in the shopping area. You can also buy things to go, or eat in. Their food looks amazing and everything is quite fast since they already have it cooked. However, around lunch you may need to wait 20-30 minutes to get a table, but it’s worth the wait. Photos and prices from today 15th April 2024. We went for the fish with mashed potatoes and lasagna with spinach, beer and water. They brought at the end a free desert, and for everything we paid ~40€. Overall an excellent place to grab lunch between a shopping session and tourist activities. Highly recommended it. A+
