The Cretan Cafe

We stumbled onto this cafe as we wanted to find out what cretan food has to offer and we were not disappointed! The server was very helpful and knowledgeable to share what the dishes were made of and how is is prepared so we could decide. Amazing food and seasoning was just nice, not too salty or heavy handed. Pure bliss to enjoy a meal here with family and friends. Highly recommended if you are nearby!

What a place ! In the very center , yet quiet street. The tables are small café tables , nothing promising at a first glance and then …. the FOOD comes ! AMAZING traditional cuisine from Crete. Tasteful, perfectly balanced dishes. Our picky kids had 3 plates of Cretan carbonara !! (Just magaged to take a pic before it was gone) Served with a smile and kind word . Fantastic place! And the music from the bar next door is definitely a bonus too 🤩

I loved! L O V E D the place, the food, the service and the owner's kindness. Excellent! They knew what typical dishes to suggest to a tourist like me, although it is not a place for tourists. It's more for locals, so even better for me. The music, the atmosphere and also the quality of the food itself.... great! Thank you. Will definitely come again when in Thessaloniki 😍

We just arrived from Crete and this cafe allowed us to eat some foods we skipped on Crete. (Gamopilafo was very flavourful and was avaible). George was very engaging and explained the foods to us.
