Quaint little restaurant on the main shopping area. The fish and chips were exceptional. My fish stew was exceptional. Our server was awesome as well. Very friendly and informed me about the stew to make sure I knew what I was getting. Better than I expected.
Fish and chips with a 2nd hand cigarette. Disappointed the doors were open and all the cigarette smoke from outside poured into the restaurant inside, but otherwise the food was great. Some of the best fish and chips we’ve had in Iceland thus far. Liked that they had malt vinegar on the side and the sweet coleslaw was a nice touch.
I came in due to the cozy and warm atmosphere and ordered the fish and chips, which was great. The chips were well cooked, and the fish was lovely - the crumb was light and crispy, and the fish meat was cooked well. I came back the next morning and ordered the big breakfast, however I was disappointed by this meal. The sausages were yummy and full of flavour and the mushrooms well cooked, however the egg had a quality / taste that I can’t quite describe - but I wasn’t a fan and didn’t finish the egg once I had run out of other elements on my plate.
It was a great restaurant! Food was great and service too; food came pretty fast. I recommend the lamb soup, mozarella sticks, fish and chips, and fish of the day. For kids two can share the fish and chips because the portions are large. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest though. Still would definitely recommend!
can’t recommend this place enough!! had our first meal in iceland here. the food was delicious and simple, not at all pretentious, and their salad dressing was incredible. it was served to us very quickly. the service was friendly and the staff were very welcoming. the atmosphere was very cosy and traditional. we absolutely loved it
