Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the food at this restaurant. It’s surprising that on an island, the seafood — especially the octopus — was among the worst I’ve ever had. It was tough, rubbery, and poorly cooked. Even after sending it back, it came out even worse. The Greek salad was also a letdown, made with cream instead of cheese. The shrimps and fried zucchini were average, while the fried potatoes were good. The white bottled wine, however, was very good and the staff were polite. Overall, the restaurant looks nice and the service was pleasant, but the quality of the seafood was far below expectations, especially considering the reputation of the place.
We had an amazing night at Almi! The people were so welcoming and their service was excellent. The menu is great, with different options for everyone. We did shared dining, which I really recommend to taste different dishes of the great menu. The food was great, with an authentic taste. The desserts were amazing. Really recommend the panna cotta.
Food was good and the service and ambience were too. I would have given five stars if not for the fact that we got charged twice for our one main meal (fresh grilled fish) and only discovered it the next day. Best to double check the bill before paying. I’m sure it was inadvertent.
Honestly every single thing we got was incredible. The grilled sea bass was off the charts. The talagani on pita bread with herbs and olive oil was incredible. We got both the sea bass carpaccio and the lionfish ceviche (their fish of the day) and both were so fresh and good. The monkfish rigatoni was perfect. Even the warm toasted bread and tzatziki hit the spot. There was not a single miss at this place, and the prices were unbelievable -- we got 9 dishes between 4 of us, plus drinks, at 120, so 30 per person. totally understand the 4.9 star rating!!!!
A fellow foodie recommended Almi to us and she was so right! We liked everything, the extremely welcoming people, the local beers, fresh grilled shrimps, their take on „Greek” salad, handmade fries. But what really blew our minds was the simple fish - already perfect alone, but absolutely divine with the light mustard sauce. Probably one of the best fish I ever had and I’m saying it not being a big fan of fish overall
