I'd highly recommend this place! The food served here is bursting with flavour and has great textures. We ordered the Arayes and Chicken Skewers Pita, both of which were fantastic. The entrance is to the side of the Drumcondra Arts & Business campus building. The service was great and quick. They have a lovely beer garden at the back with plenty of outdoor seating.
This is my second time coming here and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the Mezze Platter as a starter — it’s one of my favorite things. The hummus is super creamy, and the bread basket lets you try all the dips, which are honestly amazing. The Arayes is also delicious. The dough is really crispy — it’s like eating a burger, but with that perfect crunchy texture. The service is excellent — they’re quick, there are no long waits, and everyone is super friendly. Just one recommendation: bring a jacket if you’re sitting outside. Even on a warm day, there’s a breeze, and if you tend to get cold, you’ll definitely want something to keep you warm. Inside felt a bit too warm for me.
It’s so easy to miss this place! Walked by it so many times and didn’t realise it was there. Cosy interior. Friendly staff and fast service. Food was delicious! All of it! The grilled chicken was full of flavour and very tender.
I've visited the place 3 or 4 times, and the food and service are always impeccable—but their delivery doesn’t follow the same standard. I’ve ordered multiple times, and it’s always a “surprise”, meaning sometimes the food is amazing and the portions are as expected, while other times it’s not up to the standard they offer. Once, I ordered labaneh, and the portion was half of what they usually send, for example. The staff also doesn’t seem to know how to manage the system: they don’t update missing items, and when something you’ve ordered is unavailable, instead of refunding just that item, they cancel the entire order🤦🏼♀️ For the first time, I ordered baklava for dessert, and the picture on the website is totally misleading. I’m sorry, but charging €6 for that small portion is absolutely nonsense.
A Fantastic Middle Eastern Experience at Shouk, Drumcondra If you’re looking for a vibrant, flavour-packed culinary experience in Dublin, Shouk in Drumcondra is a must-visit. This outdoor food hall offers a warm, relaxed ambiance that perfectly complements its delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. We ordered the Large Mezze Platter, which was a feast in itself — with crispy falafels, soft pitas, creamy hummus, fresh salads, smoky babaganoush, and a bold hit of Zhug. While I personally didn’t enjoy the tahini (just a matter of personal taste), my friends absolutely loved it. For dessert, the Knafeh was the real standout — rich, sweet, and beautifully presented. Drinks-wise, they have a small but decent selection of cocktails and pints; nothing extraordinary, but they complement the food nicely. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was laid-back yet lively — perfect for a casual evening out. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more dishes. If you’re a fan of Middle Eastern flavours, Shouk is definitely worth a visit.
