Such a lovely cafe! My husband and I stopped here for a quick breakfast on the way out of Cork and ended up having some of the nicest breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had. The lady was an absolute legend and made me a vegan breakfast sandwich worth raving about. Nice chill atmosphere, good coffee and an all-around lovely spot.
This Cafe was recommend to us but unfortunately it was a complete miss… The service lady was lovely yet, I’m sorry to say, the coffee was not enjoyable at all. The food was okay, and the place is cute. And I really love the vibe of Shandon Street. So all in all a place of character and comfort, yet not for a good coffee.
This café is just too cute! It also served the warmest breakfast I had in Cork. About a 10-minute walk from the city center, and the interior is full of charming handwritten signs. They offer lots of omelette options and a full breakfast menu. I had Jane’s Brekkie—heaping portions drizzled with maple syrup, the perfect mix of sweet and savory. If you’re not that hungry, they also have smaller bites like croissants and other bakery treats. The owner is super kind and friendly, taking their time to make you feel welcome. Didn’t try the coffee, but I’d definitely recommend stopping by!
Got the full Irish breakfast here and really enjoyed it. Very tasty and plenty of it. Would highly recommend eating here. Served by a really nice person too. I'll be back.
My wife and I are on a kick of trying as many places to eat around us as possible. Most are good, some are really wonderful. This experience was bizarrely bad. Like, weird-bad. The tea was cold, the toast was burnt to a crisp, the pancakes were cool and wet (I've never seen this before). The lady behind the counter was nice and there was nothing negative in the mood, the food was just... bad. I'm no great cook, but I'd never serve anything like this to my wife on even the most basic level of being warm and not burnt. The eggs were smashed and crusty. It was like your child bringing you breakfast in bed on your birthday. Really odd.
