My fiancé and I came to celebrate our engagement and had a fantastic time. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. Our waitress Yasmeen was one of the best waiters I’ve experienced. I would definitely recommend dining here (and asking for Yasmeen as your waitress!).
There are moments when you eat a meal and it’s finger licking food, lick your plate clean you can’t get enough of the food that you’re eating and you just want more. Then there is food that you take a bite, just one bite and the whole world seems to stop. You are in a moment, you have to pause, and you feel joy and sorrow because you don’t want the moment to end, and happiness and warmth all over your body. You can’t eat another bite because you just need to stay in this moment a minute longer and savor the incredible flavor and feeling you have just had. This was my experience at taizu, not just once this happening to me but multiple times through multiple courses having the need to pause and take a moment. This is the first time I have ever said, this is the meal that I would want to eat before I die when they say what would you like your last meal to be. For a restaurant that has been open for some years to have such a high level of service and food is in of itself impressive (often restaurants go down in quality after they have been open for some time, this was my first time so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I was impressed) I gave atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 because I personally like a calmer vibe of music when I am eating such exceptional food, Service was outstanding
We came to celebrate our 25 anniversary. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The waitress explained us about the menu and then offered an option that she will select the dishes for us and it will cost us up to 440 ILS per person. We chose that option and did not regret it. The dishes were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. We had 8 different sharing dishes and that was great.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly and attentive service. I’ve been coming here every few years when visiting Israel, and it’s consistently an excellent experience. Perfect spot for couples or small groups (3–8 people). Our visits usually come out to about 250-350 ₪ per person.
Edit: someone from Taizu has called me and deeply apologized. They took my claim very seriously and it feels good to be heard. On top of that, they sent me a generous gift card so I could come back and erase that experience. This is customer service at its best, I’m really happy about it. I’m happy to change my grade. I’m a regular guest at Taizu and have generally been very satisfied with the service. This time, however, I was deeply disappointed. I had explicitly asked the waitress not to include any type of leaves in my food, as I am pregnant and avoiding anything that could put me at risk of toxoplasmosis. Despite this, I was served dumplings with a leaf garnish, which I removed myself. Then, when the main course arrived, it was full of salad leaves, mint, and other herbs. When I pointed this out, the waitress seemed displeased, took the dish back to the kitchen, and simply asked the chef to remove the leaves. The plate was returned to me exactly the same, not even replated or reheated, with pieces of leaves still inside. To make matters worse, the waitress laughed it off with the chef. I was honestly shocked at such a lack of care. I chose not to escalate the situation further at the time, but I believe my reaction spoke for itself, and I also shared my concern with the hostesses at the entrance when leaving. I hesitated before writing this, as the hostesses did take me seriously, but the truth is I am still profoundly unsettled. If a restaurant as reputable as Taizu treats the health of pregnant women in this way, I feel it is important to bring it to light. I would be glad to discuss this further if needed.
