Convenient location but overpriced for what it offers. The café is well located, close to the station, which is definitely a plus. However, I found the prices to be on the higher side for such a casual spot — likely due to its proximity to the station. We had a cappuccino, which was good, and a Nutella croissant — the croissant itself was average, but it came with a generous amount of Nutella. The flat white was overly milky for my taste. Service wasn’t particularly friendly — just okay overall.
I left the Roma Termini station looking for a cafe and stumbled into Cafe Fondi, I saw a line of locals so I had a feeling I should stop here. 2 weeks all over Italy and about 50 Cappuccinos later, this was the first one to make me raise my eyebrows in shock! The way the milk is foamed resembles the texture of a warm creamy gelato without the sweetness. It was heavenly and I hope to one day learn how to make a cappuccino like this. Cafe Fondi was also one of the first sandwich shops to heat up their sandwiches in a panini press before serving ensuring it was fresh when served. Loved the atmosphere in here, all the colors, tiles, wood accents and love the family that runs the store together. They communicate amongst each other like mother and son in Italian it’s sweet and feels like home. Cafe Fondi is authentic and delicious, a must have when arriving to Roma.
Had the best cappuccino and croissant here! Very close to the train station and the service was amazing! They also had delicious looking omelettes, will definitely be back for some :)
Had a lovely breakfast here. I am a sucker for anything pistachio and the pistachio croissant did not disappoint. The cafe latte with cream and sugar was also just what the doctor ordered.
Amazing, we stayed really close by and wish we have found it sooner. Would have been our breakfast go to during our stay! Fresh bakery - chocolate, pistachio croissant, sandwich with cheese, ham and egg is always really wholesome. Drinks are awesome. There is always a queue in the morning but it moves quickly. We sat outside and there is a gentleman who always keep the outdoor seating area really clean. It’s a lovely small business (believe it’s family owned), would definitely return.
