It was an interesting dining experience. Came here with some friends for dinner on a Monday might. Food was nice and it was good that they tried to combine traditional Italian dishes with a unique twist. If you've been to Italy a lot and would like to try something different. This restaurant is worth a stop. Service was a bit cold, but then again we were the loudest ones in the room as there were 8 of us. But I would definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant boasts creative and entertaining ideas transformed into dishes. The impressive theme featured various hand-expressed emotions. Not only did the food tantalize my taste buds, but I also enjoyed speculating about how each dish was crafted. To create each form, the chef utilized diverse ingredients and colors. Overall, the incorporation of cheese added a rich and creamy flavor, while the textures alternated between firm and soft in each course. The noodle-based dish mimicked the chewiness of clams, and the broths were savory. Encasing mussels in a soft cheese and finishing with pepper foam made the dish enjoyable even for those unaccustomed to spicy food. Each dish's plating complemented the plate's design, and the dessert's presentation evoked excitement, much like opening a secret box. The final bread and ice cream were a fitting conclusion, particularly the exceptional ice cream. The staff were courteous and enthusiastic when explaining the appetizers. However, I questioned the professionalism when the first staff member placed the amuse-bouche, only for other staff to reposition it. Unlike other Michelin-starred restaurants, this establishment did not offer adjusted menus or portions for children, which was disappointing. The restaurant's interior exuded a modern, simple ambiance, and entering through the gate and passing a small garden felt like entering a home. We were told children were allowed, so we went with our child — but there were no adjustments to the menu or course structure to accommodate kids at all. Our child only received two courses and refused to eat anything after that, so we declined the rest of the service for them. Despite this, we were charged full price. If we had known in advance that it wouldn’t be suitable for children, we would have chosen a different Michelin-starred restaurant. It’s really disappointing, and the more I think about it, the more I regret spending the money.

Don't waste your money on this gimmick. I tried resolving my terrible experience directly with the restaurant but they refuse to acknowledge they provided a poorly prepared meal Not vegetarian friendly either despite them saying they can accommodate Salt levels - The food had inconsistent salt levels within courses and across courses. Things either tasted bland or salty. Texture - In a few courses, especially the first course, the food felt stale. Almost as if it had been prepared in advance and dried out Technique - In the dessert the creme brulee was gritty rather than smooth Vegetarian replacement - I told the restaurant I was a vegetarian and didn't like mushroom. One of my dishes came out as the meat version but with parts of the dish removed (dry pasta, no sauce or broth). They restaurant told me in email afterwards "Please, consider that neither of our menus are vegetarian as we don’t recognize it as representative of our identity". If that's the case, they shouldn't advertise an ability to adapt their menu for vegetarians. Also, at $180 it's ridiculous they aren't able to make me a custom broth for my dish. I've told other restaurants in the past I don't like mushroom and they make me something custom, which I'd expect at this price point and alleged quality of a restaurant Flavor - This is more subjective I found the majority of the food to be disgusting. I stopped eating by the last few courses. I contacted Michelin to ask them to audit this restaurant, I can't believe it has a star at all. 2 stars because their wine pairing was good.

A soulful experience at Contraste We’ve been living nearby for 2 years, always passing that little star-marked sign outside Contraste nearby to the Philharmonic, wandering the neighborhood — a somewhat chaotic area, which makes Contraste’s presence even more striking, almost poetic in contrast. To mark 20 years since my husband and I met, I booked a table and chose the "Riflesso" menu. As the date approached, we realized it coincided with the Inter-Barcelona game — an unmissable event for my husband and our son. But I still wanted to savor the evening slowly, fully. So I went with our 18-year-old daughter — witness to the journey of our family and our partnership. Why all this context? Because our experience at Contraste wasn’t just about the (spectacular!) food — though the Amore (cuttlefish and chorizo), scallop noodles with parmesan and dashi, and Iberico pork with sea urchin and burrata were unforgettable. It was about shared memories, tasting and guessing flavors, telling stories, connecting. It became a rare, precious moment of presence, trust, and recognition — seeing the value and significance of one another through each shared bite and story — something harder to come by these days. If you’re looking not only to eat beautifully (which you will), but to feel something deeper, to connect and belong — this is your place. And for the wine: I chose PATRICK PIUZE Chablis "Terroir de La Chapelle" — light, summery, full of emotion and memory. Highly recommend. Thank you to the whole Contraste team!

Went there after a long wait to find the "right moment", unfortunately one of the worst experience in a michelin-star restaurant I ever had. We tried the menu "riflessioni" which inspired us for the innovative idea, but we were totally disappointed. The plates were very good, however the size of the courses were absolutely small for a full dinner, I can accept a small course for entree or as a connection between main courses, but I ended up with hunger (and also anger due to the fact of having spent 200+ € for a modest dinner) despite there were more than 15 courses. Besides the portion sizes, the overall quality and experience was nothing asthonishing nor at a level of a michelin-star. Service was good but quite distracted and unable to cope with simple requests. Avoid, there are better option in the city.
