Very well maintained place! Clean and the staff are all welcoming and respectful I tried the fish dish it was fresh and yummy! They started us with a beautiful fresh garden salad… the manager was on top of everything and making sure everybody there was happy and well taking care of which I appreciate a lot as you don’t see this often in restaurants… Definitely recommends this place!!! Thank you for everything!
We visited this restaurant multiple times on our trip to Venice because of how much we loved it there! Both the service and food were impeccable!!! Gary served us both times we visited and was absolutely wonderful! He was very attentive, informative and had fantastic recommendations for us! The food itself was so flavoursome and we totally underestimated the portion sizes and left with very full bellies! We also had a very warm welcome from the host who remembered us when we returned to the restaurant! Thank you La Piazza! From Ellie and Nathan xx
We visited LaPiazza in Venice based on its high ratings, coming in with expectations shaped by other top-rated restaurants we had enjoyed in Rome and Florence. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to those standards. I ordered the truffle pasta, a dish I’ve had at several other restaurants throughout Italy. Visually, it looked promising—the waiter even came to the table to shave additional truffle on top, which was a nice touch in terms of presentation. However, the flavor didn’t match the look. The truffle lacked the rich aroma and depth that I’ve come to associate with high-quality Italian truffles. It honestly didn’t smell or taste like the real thing. The cheese also fell short—bland and lacking the sharp, creamy character that usually elevates a pasta dish like this. At €35 (around $35) for one pasta, the price felt excessive considering the underwhelming taste and the quality of ingredients, especially when compared to similar dishes I’ve had elsewhere in Italy for less. That said, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was decent, though nothing particularly memorable.
We went there because of the high rating and over 10k reviews. Unfortunately, our expectations were too high. The bread was only brought out after we asked for it, and it was dry and not fresh. The scallops were sandy, and the shrimp had a strong fishy taste. The fish was tough and lacked flavor. A 12% service charge was automatically added to the bill, even though we didn’t really enjoy the service. Overall, the food might be enjoyable if you’re a tourist from a country without much access to seafood. However, if you’re familiar with quality seafood—especially in Italy—it definitely doesn’t live up to its 4.7 rating.
This beautiful restaurant is really busy. Without saying you have to try out the fish menu. They make some absolutely delicious grilled fish and lobster. Really nice and clean inside and very polite staff members.
