This hole-in-the-wall was a welcome respite after a week of Italian fare. I ordered the zha jiang mian (炸酱面) and jian bing guo zi (煎饼果子). The zha jiang mian was packed with flavor and had a good amount of toppings (meat, fresh / pickled veggies). However, the sauce was a bit too salty for me, so I had to dilute it with some water. The jian bing guo zi was delicious albeit not traditional (i.e. includes a sausage, missing crispy cracker). The portion was generous and enough for two. Overall, this place is a great choice for a convenient, affordable, and satisfying meal.
Had a craving for Chinese food while in Venice and came across a small shop that served savory crepes and steamed dumplings. The food was tasty and really hit the spot. Enjoyed my meal sitting outside near Palazzo Soranzo—it was peaceful and a nice break from walking around.
We came at pretty late in the evening at around 9.20pm for a late night snack, and ordered crepe and mixed noodles. Everything was made fresh in front of us. They both contained a lot of fillings and veggies which is very much missing in Italian cuisine. The food tastes amazing and we will be back!
Feels strange to say the best food I ate in Venice wasn't Italian - but the chinese bread with pork from Ravioleria was my food highlight of the day! The meat was outstanding and seasoned to perfection 😋 There was a 5-10 minute wait for the food to be ready but it was 100% worth it.
This place made my Venice trip worth it. So I ate at a restaurant and was very disappointed 98 pounds for decent food.. I wasn’t very full so I came across this place and I wasn’t very curious but I just had a good feeling and so I ordered some sweets for my wife and the other thing I forgot what it was called and we literally had our faces with a smile that we decided to walk all the way BACK to the store to order moreeee to take back to the hotel !
