The food was a decent price, the portions were large enough for leftovers, the service was generally well-streamlined and clearly the employees worked well as a team. But the flavor. Wow! The lasagna in particular was some of the best lasagna we’ve had! Definitively recommend this place. Plus, their cola zero was an Italian brand and we prefer that. The restaurant was full of locals but they were clearly used to tourists, as well. It’s obviously a must for everyone.

Love love this place! Definitely go early so you don't have to wait in the long line. The staff were amazing and the food was just amazing. They do have gluten free pasta as well. And they have daily side dishes all very unique.

Sfoglia Rina is often talked about as a must-visit in Bologna, but in my view it’s a bit overrated. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, which means there’s usually a line to get a table. To be fair, the line moves fairly quickly, but combined with the fact that the restaurant closes earlier than many others in the city, there’s an added sense of urgency that takes away from what should be a more relaxed dining experience. On the positive side, the pasta is freshly made, as it is in most restaurants in Bologna and that authenticity is always appreciated. The dining room has a mix of independent tables and one large communal table right in the centre, which may or may not suit everyone’s preference. Service is fine, though nothing particularly memorable. Overall, for what it offers, Sfoglia Rina feels more hyped than it deserves. While it’s not a bad option if you happen to be nearby, I wouldn’t place it at the top of a Bologna dining list.

This place is a well oiled machine. Every person knows exactly how to get you to eat an incredible meal. The free water, the little bread, the way they take your order... Such a cool experience. Loved the lasagna. Best I ever had!

There was a waiting line outside but it was fast to move. I think we waited for less than 10 minutes to be seated. There is a huge table inside, if you dont mind sharing with others, you can sit there. Pretty interesting concept as we had to see the menu and write down our own order and then pass to the waiters. Food was delicious and atmosphere is really nice. Would definitely recommend.
