Ristorante Mamima

Authentic, well priced restaurant which is well worth the visit. Slightly outside the city centre but would highly recommend. The pasta is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend for anyone after traditional food from Bologna!!

We were not disappointed with this restaurant choice. This review only involves the steakhouse aspect of this restaurant. The aged beef was unlike anything else in Bologna. We shared a huge Scottish T bone and added some potatoes and grilled veggies. The beef was cut from large pieces on display. If you want this outstanding steak, you really cannot get less than an amount between ribs. Don’t get fooled and order pasta, etc. we got a steak and 2 sides and it was ample and delicious. The owner is very knowledgeable, and wonderful. The only blemish I can mention is his support staff is not properly trained for this caliber of restaurant (broke the cork in our wine-twice, she could not understand when I asked for the Italian menu along with English). But the food far outshined this hiccup.

This is a wonderful restaurant in Bologna. Everything is great: service, atmosphere, food and online/app booking. Their service style was friendly and relaxing. They are close to the main train station, so we booked them after a day trip and it was a pleasant evening for us. My group enjoyed their very good indeed steaks and I became a fan of their melanzane: eggplant with melted cheese in tomato sauce. I had a hard time keeping my family from eating it out after they tried. Plus, they were fully booked, allowed one couple in anyway, and fed them quickly, which was also very nice of them.

Amazing experience at Mamma! Every bite was full of flavor, the wine was excellent, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. A true taste experience not to miss when in Bologna!
