La Buchetta Food & Wine Restaurant

We have been looking forward to eating here since we made reservations 2 months ago. We were not disappointed. Instead, La Buchetta exceeded our expectations. Servers were friendly and welcoming. They paid great attention to detail and we never wanted for anything. They were always there when needed. The food was outstanding! Gnocchi angels and demons was out of this world, it was creamy yet savory and spicy. Of course we had the Florentine steak. Unbelievably tender and flavorful... so much so that we even ate the fat. We would be regular customers if we lived here. Thank you for feeding us so well on our last night in Florence.

We booked a table in advance of our trip to Florence & judging by the que around the corner on a Wednesday evening it was justifiable. The food and atmosphere were amazing. One of the best meals we have experienced in a long time. The restaurant was small but vibrant with energy and conversation. The service was superb, the waiters spoke excellent English and took time to explain the dishes and recommendations on wines. We wanted to experience authentic Florentine steak and we were not disappointed. The T bone is bought out raw and weighed on your table, giving you are idea of the price you will be paying. We ordered a starter to share followed by the steak and side dishes of roast potatoes and beans. The steak was cut for you at the table and it was amazing, one of the best steaks we have ever had. It came with an edible candle made of the fat. Poured over the steak it made it even more tender and full of flavour. We would definitely recommend a visit and to book your table in advance. Thanks to everyone at the La Buchetta for the wonderful food and wine and for the great service. We will definitely be returning.

Just fabulous. Visited the wine window and the team were so friendly we decided to return another day for dinner. Had the Pici special pasta (truffle, tossed in a pecorino wheel) and filet Mignon and kids steak (there is a kids menu). All were delicious and the service was outstanding. A must try!

They were amazing! We visited Florence on 5/5/25 and the weather was not optimal. Lots of rain. During our self-guided tour/exploration of this beautiful city, we found this gem. We did the obligatory wine window purchase, and subsequently went inside for another glass and some fresh burrata and prosciutto. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. We stayed long past the food because of the great conversations we were having with the staff, ranging from the history of the bldg, to wine windows, and to when/where to visit in the US. Can’t wait to go back and visit again! Thanks for the great memories!

Stopped here on our first night of our honeymoon with no reservations. We got seated right away. The staff was so friendly. We got a sarro spritz and a whiskey sour. We shared the truffle pasta and tagliatelle + tiramisu for dessert. A bonus was that years ago while visiting Florence I got a decorative glass and have spent years searching for them. After asking if we could buy them, they gifted us a pair to take with us!! Overall the entire experience was amazing!!
