What an experience! The staff were so friendly and inviting they spoke English and offered us a drink whilst we waited for a seat. As you will see from the images the food looked amazing but not only that it tasted delicious 🤤. I highly recommend and make sure you book. Also the steaks looked amazing I would go back to eat here again.
We had an amazing experience at La Buchetta! The food was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The cozy atmosphere, paired with eclectic decor, created a warm and inviting vibe. The service truly stood out. The English-speaking staff were not only helpful, but also genuinely funny and engaging — a huge part of what made our night so memorable. Special shoutout to Sergio, who was fantastic! He was incredibly personable, offering great recommendations not only on the menu, but also on what to see and do around Italy. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Florence — come hungry!
Here is a little secret for you: if there is a wait at the original location, come here instead. We didn’t have any issues getting a table, and the menu was exactly the same. We were specifically looking for a restaurant that serves the Florentine steak, and this place truly met the expectation! The service was warm and efficient (although our waiter tends to upsell a bit). We had an amazing meal and a local wine that we got to taste before making a decision. Watching the steak being cut and sliced and dripping the fat over it was a sight in itself. Don’t miss it!
My wife and I came here for our anniversary, it was phenomenal. We made reservations in person (practiced my Italian); we got there early to experience the wine window (we ordered Campari Spritz). We started with the tagliere di salumi. We got picci, gnocchi and bisteca fiorentina. The gentlemen were accommodating in the cooking of our bisteca. (In Argentina we cook our steaks a little longer, they understood and were very nice about it)
Wow! This place absolutely blew me away. I came all the way from California just to try the food here, and I was not disappointed. In fact, I’d say it’s the best Italian food I’ve ever had. My top two favorites were the Pici and the Lasagna—the flavors were out of this world! What impressed me even more was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the ambiance was beautiful. An unforgettable dining experience all around!
