This restaurant is amazing. I came here with my wife based on the recommendation from our local tour guide. We ordered Lasagna and Pasta with Garlic Oil/Red Peppers. The lasagna was legitimately the best lasagna that I have ever had in my life (sorry Nonna). The flavor was intense and amazing. I cant even describe how delicious it was. The homemade pasta was excellent and the dish was very flavorful and good. The outdoor patio is a small courtyard from the side of the restaurant, completely surrounded by buildings. It is such a private and quiet place to enjoy your meal, it was a great find in this busy city. I highly recommend coming here. This was the best food that we have eaten in Italy so far, and we have tried a lot of places. Small family owned business with authentic and delicious food, much lower prices than any bigger restaurant. You cant ask for anything more.

I discovered Il Ricettario a couple of years ago and I love it. They are a permanent fixture on my Firenze dining list. The food truly does not disappoint. They make traditional Tuscan food as well as modern interpretations of regional dishes (the theme is a recipe map from around Tuscany). I make sure to eat multiple meals here every time I visit. It’s great for a simple, delicious lunch or dinner. Casual but not touristy. Everything is good, but the seafood pasta is a standout. Order a plate from each section of the menu to share and you will make an excellent meal. Five stars all around. Don’t hesitate, just go.

This place was recommended by a local person. Besides the inside, they also have an outside (courtyard) area. The server was friendly and very attentive. The food and wine were fantastic! Will be back next time I’m in Italy again!

Outstanding food! Probably the best meals (twice) we had in the 7 days we were in Florence. Small-medium space with great service. The meals we ate were tasty, prepared with adequate seasoning, and one dish is more than enough for 1 person (not enough to share). Definitely recommend it.

Pasta so good I had to order more, left absolutely stuffed😋😋 Every dish was packed with flavour, and I couldn’t stop at just one. Ended up eating way too much, no regrets. Loved that they offered two wine options by the glass. I can pick what suits my taste. Staff were super friendly too. 10/10 would roll back in again🥰
