Excellent and attentive service. Excellent and authentic food! We got the vongole, pici all’aglione, and ravioli di burrata - all were really good. Pasta was cooked to perfection and sauce was rich and delicious. We enjoyed this meal SO much, though the panna cotta was slightly tough. Be sure to make a reservation, because we didn’t, but the boss went above and beyond for us! Very grateful that he let us in to enjoy this perfect dinner
One of our best meals during our holiday in Firenze. After being introduced to truffles on a street food tour, we were excited to taste pastas with truffles. We had that and Pasta Carbonara. Small cozy place, where the kitchen is a part of the restaurant. Nice chefs smiling and having fun while cooking. The waitress was sweet and came with a baby chair for our son.
We absolutely loved our dinner here. The truffle pasta is a must! The ribeye steak was amazing. The greek salad was refreshing. Local wines were also delicious. What made our experience even better was the detail oriented service. Allegra and Jessica were super friendly and attentive to details to make sure we enjoy our dinner and even treated us to free drinks.
It began as a wonderful experience. From start to finish everything was perfect from the service to the food. It took a bad turn when we got back to our hotel. To begin, the service was impeccable! Food timing was perfect... not to slow, not too fast. The tuscan bean soup was, without question, the best I've ever had. My husband started with the spicy pici. It was exactly the way he likes it, hot! The pappardelle with boar ragu was delicious as were grandmother's meatballs. Everything was perfect. I paid with a credit card, was given a receipt and we left. When we got back to our hotel, a waiter from the restaurant called me and accused me of not paying the bill and was insisting I come back. What? Told him I have a receipt and a text from my bank confirming I was charged. He said "no, no, you didn't pay". To be honest, I thought it was a scam until I googled the restaurant phone number. He called back and asked me to text him a picture of the receipt. I did and 20 minutes later I get a response apologizing. It was the table next to us that didn't pay. I understand mistakes happen but the staff should have figured out who didn't pay before calling and accusing me. His call was very unprofessional. It ruined what was a phenomenal experience.
What an amazing find! There are SO MANY restaurants in central Florence, and I found this after investigating a different, more popular restaurant in the area. Our experience at Osteria Antica Casa Torre did not disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly, and our server was proud of the food they served. The food has so far been the best we’ve had during our holiday in Italy. My family and I are in Florence for a four-night visit. Osteria Antica Casa Torre was our first meal here, and we are planning to have our last meal here before we depart.
