This fish shop is quite an experience—though I didn’t buy fish to take home, I only ate there. Some self-proclaimed gourmets complain about the fish quality, leaving harsh reviews without mentioning the price they pay for their meal. It’s important to remember this isn’t a high-end restaurant, but a market stall with a casual eatery attached. Don’t expect fine dining here. Your food is served not by trained waiters, but by the very fishmongers who sell the catch. As for the food itself, it’s perfectly reasonable for the price. If you want to taste fresh fish at a fair cost with decent service, this place is definitely worth a visit. No one here takes responsibility for dishes you dislike—especially if you’re new to fish or have limited experience with its flavors and textures. The mixed fried fish platter is an excellent sampler and highly recommended to everyone. The crab spaghetti was good for the price—more about tasting than savoring—yet the presentation will pleasantly surprise you. In short: good place, good service, recommended for those seeking authentic, no-frills seafood with a market vibe.
Simple and straightforward — just super fresh ingredients. We ordered both the fried seafood and the raw seafood platter. The prices were very reasonable, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious! The fish market is right next door, and the area gets really lively at night with lots of people around. Great atmosphere!
The food was amazing. The service fast, but a bit too direct. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5, is that they wouldn’t accommodate my special request to have some of the fish next door fried, I don’t get why, they could have charged whatever. But the store next door had small fish with a red hue. I think it’s called sultan Ibrahim in Turkey, and I love them. And I think both stores share an owner. They could’ve made some extra cash but whatever, the food was good. The oeysters were fresh, the octopus perfectly cooked, fried mix food was great, and the pasta with pistachios and clam was sooooo amazing. Even the very cheap house wine was soo good.
We went there on our last night in Napoli and it did not disappoint. The fried seafood portions are quite big and delicious. And the pasta is cooked to perfection. Everything is incredibly fresh. It’s not a place you can spend time after eating but it’s worth it. Must visit in Napoli.
The marinated seafood was amongst the nicest fish dishes I’ve ever had. The spaghetti was also v good (we had two and the better one had a tomato base). Rough and ready tables with disposable plates but that delivers great value for money and I’ll be back next time I’m in Napoli.
