La Locanda del Monacone is an okay place to dine if you’re in the Rione Sanità area of Naples. The atmosphere is casual and local, with a relaxed vibe that fits the neighborhood well. The food is decent, but nothing particularly memorable or outstanding. While the flavors are there, the dishes feel a bit basic and lack the wow factor you might expect from a place that gets decent attention. The service was friendly, though not overly attentive, and the prices are reasonable for the area. If you’re looking for something quick and straightforward, it’s fine, but there are better places in Naples if you’re after something special.
Lovely restaurant with traditional Napolitan food! wouldn’t have known about it if we weren’t recommended it by a local and the food is just beautiful ! the octopus was so tender, beef ragu perfectly cooked and zucchini linguine so creamy and delightful ! service was fantastic and very friendly! 10/10 grazie mille!!
This magical, gorgeous place will already be my favorite in Naples. My boyfriend and I were here for Valentine's dinner, the food was divine, we had several amazing courses. In addition to the food and wonderful atmosphere, I had an indescribable experience here. My friend asked me to marry him and together with Guiseppe and the whole team they prepared an unforgettable evening for me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone who participated in this surprise. Your restaurant has an incredible atmosphere, excellent food and an excellent staff and team!
Very nice atmosphere in this restaurant in Sanità. Inside looks very typical restaurant, with beautiful colours and neapolitan decorations. Service is very kind, and also fast. The food was good. I tried spaghetti with friarelli, perfectly cooked. I would have preferred a bit more sauce, but personal preference. Genovese and pasta and potatoes were good, too. Wine was tasty. Bill is not too expensive. Better to book table upfront.
Authentic Neapolitan gem with fair prices and a cozy atmosphere! The bruschetta and pasta were delicious, with the Zito alla Genovese as our favorite. Friendly staff and a great wine recommendation made the evening perfect. A must-visit in Naples! Grazie mille!
