La Locanda Gesù Vecchio Civico 4

This is by far the best restaurant in Naples. We came here on our last evening in the city and I'm so glad we saved the best for last. Their food is absolutely incredible, everything we tried was fantastic and I really wish we could have tried more from their menu but we were too full so I suppose there's always next time. The absolute best thing I had was the Ragu Arancino that was served as part of the Tris fritto della Locanda, if I could choose one thing to eat on repeat every single day it would probably be that. We also tried the Mozarella in carrozza, the Ziti alla genovese and the Rigatoni al ragu con ricotta and they were all perfectly cooked and so balanced. Their portion sizes for all of the dishes are very generous which is also amazing. They have a very extensive wine selection from lots of different Italian regions and very good dessert options. Aside from the food, the service was flawless, the staff here are so professional, warm and welcoming. Thank you guys for making our last night in Naples so memorable! I can't wait to come back here one day.

I don't want to lose the feeling of being here today, so I come home and leave a review. During my visit with my Italian girlfriend, the food and the staff were all too friendly. In particular, the food was perfect, and his recommendation was too perfect for me as I was contemplating wine. If you come to Naples, you must visit here no matter what. Of course, if you make a successful reservation... Thank you for the kindness of the owner and the warmth of the staff. I was touched by the last birthday wishes you gave me. I am looking forward to seeing you again.

We visited La Locanda Gesù Vecchio Civico 4 and learned that during certain times, it's definitely a good idea to make a reservation in advance. We had an appetizer and a main course—while the food was good, it didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by the Michelin sign at the entrance and the glowing reviews we had read. That said, the experience was greatly elevated by the excellent service. We were warmly greeted in our own language, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. Throughout the meal, the staff checked in occasionally to make sure we had everything we needed—something I really appreciate in a restaurant. Prices were fair, and overall, I would consider coming back.

We didn’t book and was lucky to be offered a table by the owner for a quick dinner, the staffs were friendly and very welcoming, no language barrier either, speed was also satisfying. The most important thing- food was amazing! The bruschetta is the best I’ve had in Naples, can’t beat the quality plus quantity for money. Pasta was great and well seasoned as well, we had a great time, it’ll be no time this gem gets a Michelin!

We had an incredible meal and overall great experience at this cosy restaurant. Everything from the bread on the table, the red Italian wine, and all 3 courses were freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. I dare to say that their pistachio cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, every layer could be eaten on its own and the actual cheese filling was silky smooth.
