It was a really interesting dinner: we ate on the terrace with a view of Asti. The tastes and flavours of Piedmont are expressed with passion and precision.
A fantastic dining experience, in a charming small village nearby to Asti. The 5 entree set the scene for this gourmet experience, and there is an excellent wine list to suit any palate. With attentive staff, and a table with a panoramic view, this was a lunch to be remembered. A visit to the beautiful adjacent church, and a stroll around the surrounding country roads, was a added bonus, helping settle the slight over indulgence!
Let me tell you, this place is a bloody revelation. Tucked away off the beaten path, like a well-kept secret whispered between locals, Ibugianen is a restaurant that rewards the intrepid traveler. The views alone are enough to make you weep with joy – rolling hills, vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, the kind of scenery that would make anyone blush with joy. But it's the food that truly elevates this experience to something truly special. Oh, that ravioli. Stuffed with meat, it arrived at the table looking unassuming, but the first bite was a revelation. A symphony of textures and flavours, a dance of pasta and filling that left me breathless. And then came the veal – Piedmontese veal, slow-cooked in a wine reduction that was as rich and complex as a fine Bordeaux. It was, without a doubt, the most flavourful veal I've ever encountered. But it wasn't just the food. The service was impeccable, the staff warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere? Intimate, convivial, the kind of place where you could easily while away an afternoon, lost in conversation and the glow of a perfect meal. Ibugianen is a gem. A reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are found off the well-trodden path, tucked away in the heart of the Italian countryside. If you're in the region, I implore you, make the pilgrimage. You won't regret it.
Excellent! Try to get a table on the terrace! Everything is exquisite, from tableware to the way they describe each course. Food is scrumptious!
Great restaurant with a view over the valley. The courses are very local, using premium ingredients. They have flexible menus, you can choose how many courses you try.
