We had four nights in Asti and dined out at Osteria del Diavolo on one of those. We needed to book as it's popular (with locals, but also name checked in Rough Guide). It's friendly and ever so slightly eccentric and we enjoyed the Piedmontese food and wine choices very much. We also enjoyed Osteria della Piazza for similar reasons.
After spending 3 days in Asti and finding this restaurant for dinner on our last day of our trip from Manhattan to Asti the best experience! Sea food dishes combining shellfish, fish, vegetables and pasta. The local sparkling wine. Pio Cesare Barderesco!!! Unbelievable! The staff super knowable especially the Sommelier who doubled as our order taker. Thank you to this restaurant for being there.
Another hidden out the way gem in Asti. Perfect ambience with outdoor seating. Impeccable service. Fabulous and tasty. I went for the skillet and the portion was more than I could handle although I made sure to enjoy every last morsel. We all tried the desserts and no disappointment there as well. We left content. Perfect for a romantic date night. Definitely worth a night out. And reservations are recommended
Wonderfull place, atmospheric. Piemontese meets ligurian food. Price- quality perfect in balance. We come here again.
Good food and good service. Yep, I'd go back. You needed reservations, it is popular!
