Wandered into this place for an early dinner. They have Bologna’s traditional gramigna pasta here and it was delicious. We ordered a range of pastas and shared a salad. They served warm bread with an aged viscous vinegar which was fantastic, you will have to ask for that aged vinegar. yummy!
Great experience! We especially enjoyed the Friggione and the Tortelloni ripieni di zucca alla Crema di Parmigiano. The service was exceptional, and it was a perfect night to sit outside. Wonderful all around!
Food was average — far below what we expected given the rating, location, and photos. When we arrived, a woman replied rudely without even saying hello: “If you want to eat, wait there, I don’t know how long it’ll take.” Later, after a long wait to get a table, they seated us right next to a heater, which not only made it uncomfortably hot but also warmed our drinks hahaha. The waiter brought the appetizer five minutes after serving the main course, and they didn’t bring the complimentary bread unless we specifically asked for it. As for the food, the gorgonzola dish was extremely strong and sickening, and the lasagna was dry — totally ordinary and nothing above average. Overall, we didn’t have a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend it.
To be honest, we were a bit skeptical going in as it was in a prime tourist location but given how busy it was and seeing the number of positive reviews we gave it a shot and we were not disappointed. The food was exquisite and portions were great. To be honest, it was a lot better compared to the food we had at some of the other really highly rated restaurants in Bologna. I would highly recommend this place to get a bite.
Nice osteria situated in the city centre. Though we over-ordered slightly for 2 pax, we really loved all the dishes we ordered - all of them were super tasty. Would have wanted to try their desserts as well. We particularly liked the tagliatelle with black truffle, which had a nice nuanced taste without being overly decadent. The baked pork ribs were also well prepared - texture was very soft and the meat was still very juicy. Shrimps and swordfish were fresh too! There’s indoor and outdoor seating - really nice to be seated outdoors now in spring time. Cover charge of €2 per pax.
