This place was recommended by some local Italian friends I met at a Radiohead concert. Decided to try it out, and I was very impressed by the food, service, the location and the atmosphere - everything just fits perfectly. There is also a winery adjacent to Marsalino, which also looked very nice, but I regrettably didn’t visit it. They offer wine by the glass in Marsalino anyways, so I did manage to get a taste of some great local wine.
The caccio e pepe is very tasty, maybe a bit al dente for my taste. They also bring a lot of grated cheese along with the pasta, which was highly appreciated (plus bread). The space felt a bit cramped to me, but that is also probably a preference. The service however is nice! I give 4/5, but I am not surprised by all the 5/5 reviews, since all the things I didn’t find ideal are subjective.
Yummy, this is the reaction my girlfriend had when she saw the photo of the food two days later! Happy experience can recommend would come back! Tagliatella tirata a mano al Ragù (12€), the Spaghetti alla Gricia (13€) and the Polpette di manzo (12€). Everything was exactly how you wish it to be from the atmosphere of the restaurant to the food and the kitchen sent out the food quite fast.
The waiters were friendly and efficient. The food was served quickly with breads and wwater. The ragu and the Chitarra alla Gricia (lightly smoked pork cheek) was very good with the al dente pasta. We finished the meal with Spimone al Limone served with cat tongue for dessert. A very tasty meal reasonably priced. We would recommend that you give it a try.
My vegetarian friend ordered a meaty pasta because we misinterpreted the menu. By the way, the boss made us a new vegetarian pasta. I'm so touched. It's a must-see place with great love and great taste. ❤️🫶🏼
