La Tavernetta - chef’s kiss A genuine Italian dinner from the Lombardy region where the chef creates an atmosphere of familial warmth and camaraderie. The culinary experience was exceptional, with the steak’s tenderness allowing it to be effortlessly sliced with a butter knife. The Ossobuco accompanied by risotto, gnocchi, a meat platter, and focaccia bread, was of outstanding quality and freshness. To conclude the evening, lemoncello and cookies provided the perfect sweet ending. The chef Osvaldo and his beautiful, talented daughter Noemi engaged in a thoughtful conversation about life in Lake Como, adding a personal touch to the evening. The chef’s exceptional talent and unwavering passion for the quality of his food are evident. He diligently collaborates with local cheese and meat producers in the mountains to procure the finest cheeses and meats from the region, ensuring a culinary experience that will tantalize your taste buds. A truly local place with fresh ingredients prepared from scratch. Inside is very quaint and felt very homey. The chef came out to help us decide what to order, including showing us the fish before he prepared it as we were not sure what it would be, not being from the area. The Osso buco was very flavorful and served with polenta. Fish was prepared with rice that tasted delicious with herbs and butter. Tiramisu like others have said was one of the best we've had, with a delicious taste of a fresh mascarpone. Great experience. Not far from the center of Como, parking across the street.

Some of the most delicious and well prepared foods we had in Lake Como. The owner and chef is very talented with fresh ingredients and home made pastas. The service was also very good. Her father was very passionate about the home made salami and cheese he curates with local artisans as well as the vegetables and fruit he grows in the restaurants garden. Prices are very reasonable with a great wine list that pleases the wine connoisseur as well as the casual wine drinker. We didn’t have their specialty, the large t-bone steak however others raved about it. We will definitely go back!

Quaint and beautiful spot. All the food was fantastic. Homemade pasta and the tomahawk was to die for. The wine recommendations were on point, best tiramisu we’ve had in Italy, and they hooked us up with complimentary limoncello and cookies. Absolutely can’t miss spot in Como.
