You can find great food and good enough service and atmosphere or vice versa: unless you've come to this place, which is absolutely spectacular. I was truly impressed with the quality of the meat they offered, which I can say hand on heart being world class quality. Apart from the exceptional quality, the cooked it supremely, with no spillage. The atmosphere is great too: the chief chef is a genuine and likeable character: he indulges in witty jokes while being able to explain culinary peculiarities with an understandable and down to earth tone. The rest of the staff is attentive, professional and friendly. I wish I lived in this area so I could come here more often. This place is truly amazing, one of the best I've ever been in my life. Truly truly recommend.
Went early, not having reserved ahead but, Andrea did accommodate us (2). The tagliatelle with mushrooms was superb, aldente and very delicate. The ravioli with San Pietro herb and the chocolate desert were also very good. The house red wine [suggested] was great. On the whole a great culinary experience at a reasonable price!
Come, eat and enjoy! We order , as main dish, the Tomahawk which came with some roasted potatoes in the over with rosemary . As starters we had polenta with cheese and also marinated trout with salad. Everything was tasty and the beef was just great! The meat and the bottle of 0.5 l of red wine…what to say?… They blended in such a nice way! Unfortunately we only remembered at the end that we had forgotten to take a phone and we just took a photo of the bone😂 We are sorry that it is our last night here, in Desenzano, and we can not repete the experience🙂 Thank you, Osteria VinOste, for the hospitality, for the kind advice, for your simplicity and honesty and for a beautiful night, words used as a compliment to you, dear Sirs!🙏 Also the place is so true and nice! We were lucky to find you.
I found this restaurant on our last night in lake Garda, and it was the highlight of the trip. Fantastic hospitality, fun and informative staff. We were seated, and the menu was explained to us in full. We were told that all of the produce comes from the local area / markets. I would highly recommend the lake Garda Pike and Polenta, and the St Peter’s wort ravioli. The steak was also amazing, as was all of the fresh pasta dishes. Top marks from me and my family. Super authentic, wonderful service, incredible food
The quality and taste of the food is a 10/10. We had the ravioli di zucca and tagliatelle di ragù; the pasta is made in-house and it was amazing. The butter and sage sauce balanced with the sweetness of the “zucca” perfectly and the ragù was meaty yet delicate at the same time. We shared the costata di manzo-wow! Aged for 30 days and cooked medium rare, it was delicious! We ate it with an insalata miste and roasted potatoes, all so fresh and tasty. We chose the vino di casa, and it did not disappoint. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Final note, the resto was full and most people were speaking Italian (always a good sign)! Senza dubbio, mi raccomando Osteria Vinostè!
