All the reviews speak for the quality and impressiveness of this restaurant. We visited Ferrara for a wedding and came across this restaurant on google map. Menu has both a la carte and course options. We went with a la carte and ordered quite different things to try. All of them are review-worthy. I like the raw seafood platter in particular. I have never seen wasabi mouse anywhere else and think it is so well thought out! The ‘fake’ carbonara was also nice. All the dishes have creative names given to them. Staff are warm and friendly. And we were warmed by the scene of locals saying hi to one another. Gives an impression of Ferrara as a lovely small city where the community is close-knitted. Recommend to book because it was a full house.
Excellent fishy pasta, very lovely interior. Service was fast and very thoughtful. One of the best restaurant in the city
We celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday here with 7 of us. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and cosy. The menu is diverse and very creative and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything was exceptional, the wine list is superb, and the chef and staff were kind, accommodating, and lovely. This is the second time we have been here, and we will absolutely return. I advise you to dk the same! By the way, there are ample gluten free and dairy free options to choose from. Just arrive hungry! EDIT: we returned last night for my 50th birthday dinner, and everything was spectacular! Thank you again for such a delicious meal and great memories!
This was our best meal in Ferrara and quite possibly the best meal on the three week trip throughout Italy. The restaurant itself is so charming and with a lot of character. It was full with local people enjoying the food and convivial atmosphere. The owner and staff were amazing. They were attentive, professional and warm. Ferrara is a beautiful city, and this place makes it even more enticing to return. Each dish is creative and is on a par or better than Michelin restaurants in Paris. The wine was one of best I ever had. It was a local white. Wife pronounced the pink shrimp tortellini to be heavenly. Amuse Bouche was amazing. Reservations likely needed for dinner.
Worst weekend possible to visit Ferrara: cold, rain and snow, but we found shelter in this nice restaurant. The very warm owner lead us to a side table, in the small but cozy room. And the amazing tasting experience begun. The dishes were cooked with care and love - almost all the menu is based on fish, with more classic recipes and some original ideas. Service was timely and very kind. The sashimi starter was really an anthology of flavours, of course if you like raw fish. Very interesting the fish carbonara, even if I preferred the linguine with clams. Only the dessert has been sort of a delusion, it was not bad but not as good as the rest - i will try a different one the next time. Too bad it was only lunch before the city's visit and we did not chose to afford a bottle of wine, but the wine by the glass was decent. The final bill was not cheap, but balanced for the quality and care. I think that the rating of this restaurant is well deserved. Final note: it's been a pity the misunderstanding with the booking - i would have preferred to have dinner here, in order to have a full culinary experience.
